Amenities

Each yurt has two beds and sleeps 4 people comfortably – Baecklund House has an additional two bean bag chairs that open out to full mattresses – sleeps 4 adults and two children comfortably (not suitable for 6 adults).

Bedding is supplied (except for floor mattresses) – if you prefer to use your own, please let us know and it can be removed.

Each yurt has its own private outhouse – toilet paper is provided

Each yurt has a small kitchenette area where basic crockery/cutlery and glassware/ a kettle/coffee press/Coffee/Tea/sugar/salt and pepper/paper towel/dish soap and drying rack are provided – there is a table with an umbrella outside your yurt for your cooking equipment

We provide you with 15 litres of drinking water – and a small amount of water for washing dishes – you can refill your water at the outdoor faucet at the restaurant.

Each yurt has a wood burning stove – we supply enough wood and fire starters to last you for your stay – if you require more – it can be purchased at reception.

Each yurt has its own fire pit with chairs – wood is not provided, but can be purchased for $10/bundle and delivered to your yurt.

Each yurt has a portable power station with AC/USB ports.

We offer shower facilities in the main building for $10/person/stay – towels/individual hand crafted shampoo and soap are included.

We have a fully licensed restaurant on site! Open Fri-Sat 4-8 pm/Sun 4 – 7 pm.

Outside of those times, we offer meal packages which can be catered to your individual needs (breakfast/lunch/dinner). We can also accommodate dietary requirements given enough notice. If this is something you are interested in please let us know ahead of time. Private dining reservations can also be made.

Pet owners must inform us of all pets travelling with them.

What you should bring…
– Your own outside cooking apparatus – cooking is not permitted inside of the yurt
– A cooler
– A flashlight/lantern
– A fan (in warmer weather)
– Waterproof footwear in Spring/Fall
– Bug spray Spring-Fall

Guest Access

There is free parking onsite.

Everything in town is within walking distance – a vehicle is necessary to get to Algonquin Park and surrounding areas. You can rent canoes and Kayaks in town.

Other Things to Note

*PLEASE NOTE*

Our yurts are a five minute walk from the main building – no motorized vehicles permitted.

Please pack accordingly.

We will do our best to help you transport your belongings to your yurt, however this is not always possible – in those instances, we have a green carry cart available for your use – situated next to the log pile where you park your vehicle – please return to its place after use.

March-April (and if there has been excessive rain) the ground is quite wet so please bring appropriate footwear.
